Stay warm, stay cozy

Ok, so we're coming up on Christmas in a few weeks {eek!}!  Have you finished your shopping yet??  I'm super-proud of myself this year.  I only have a couple gifts left to buy - can't believe I'm this prepared!

Well, in case you're looking for something a little extra, check out these scarves I made for my Etsy shop!

This quote is from my favorite book, Les Miserables.  Is anyone else geeking out over the new movie like I am??  Can't wait to see it!

1 Corinthians 13:13

You can also special order a scarf with a quote of your choice in six different colors of ink {red, yellow, blue, green, purple, brown, black}.

I also have handmade belts and headbands!

Be sure to visit my shop if you see something you like!

Good luck finishing your shopping these next couple of weeks!  I hope you get the best present of all - lots of time with great family and friends :)

Sending a simple hello

I love writing personal notes.  Not the email sort, but real notes.  You know.  The ones that require a stamp and actual travel places.  I'm always excited to get a card in the mail, aren't you?

I've made a special friend recently.  Her name is Cheryl.  She's a retired counselor, and she's precious.  I meet with her once a week for guidance, wisdom, and friendship.  I'm so thankful God has placed her in my life.

A few weeks ago we met and she surprised me with a special treat!  She has her own Etsy shop and her specialty is handmade cards.  They're so cute!  Well, she made me my very own Mary Kay themed cards.  So thoughtful!  Take a look . . .

Here are a few cards currently featured in her shop:

Cute, right??  Who do you know that you would love to write a sweet note to?  Stop by Cheryl's shop, and write someone today :)

First Sale

Last night I got the message that I made my first Etsy sale.  It was exciting!

The Meg Flower Satin Belt was the first item to go.

Here are a few shots of my store in the making, along with a shot of the Meg belt being packaged for shipping.

Etsy Shop is Open!

Raise your hand if you lovvvve Pinterest!!  Yeah.  Me, too.

Ok, so I have my own DIY board and not too long ago I added different ideas for fabric flowers.  I loved them.  They're too pretty.  Then it hit me.  I have a closet FULL of bridesmaid dresses (27 Dresses, anyone??) that I know I'll never wear again....  hmm....

I love creating things just for the heck of it, but I knew that if I invested the time, I'd have to come up with a way to get rid of the millions of fabric flowers I would eventually make from these dresses.

So, this is how my Etsy shop was born.  Check it out, and feel free to shop!
